Vai studied under Satriani as a teen and since then has had four decades of music under his belt. His solo work, especially "Passion and Warfare," cemented his status as a guitar icon. Vai also has collaborated with rock legends, designed his own guitar line with Ibanez, and won three Grammy Awards. Personal fave?
