Just had a fascinating lunch with a 22-year-old Stanford grad. Smart kid. Perfect resume. Something felt off though.

He kept pausing mid-sentence, searching for words. Not complex words - basic ones. Like his brain was buffering.

Finally asked if he was okay. His response…

This is also why I don’t use any AI when it comes to writing; it’s one of the few skills in life that forces you to think through ideas and communicate them clearly. It’s also why I try to limit AI use in programming as I want to grow in problem solving skills.
