When Farcaster opened up for registration last October, I wrote an article, much of which has since become outdated. However, although I didn't know what was going to happen at the time, I had a feeling something was about to unfold.

As a non FC OG (started more or less 2 months ago) I still confirm and share most of the views. I'm wondering how you'd update the article if had to add a 'the present' chapter in terms of what changed in the meantime and current new pros and cons

I‘ll write that I didn't expect Farcaster to become a memecoin launchpad and the social layer for Base and Zora Chain. This has brought huge traffic and users, but also made it more degen. However, thanks to channels, different groups can coexist peacefully.
