In an interview with Bloomberg, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino spoke about the rationale for choosing gold as collateral for the new synthetic dollar aUSDT. He emphasized the relative stability of gold compared to bitcoin, which makes it a more suitable asset for short-term collateral. Ardoino noted that although bitcoin has its advantages, the lower volatility of gold makes it the best option for this initiative.
