I meannnnnn… if u can break the story of these networks, you have a Pulitzer-level story! Maybe it’s impossible to get the data? Maybe it’ll take a long time, I don’t know. But as the verified opinion of a total stranger on the internet (😉), the networks themselves sound super interesting.

So there are opportunities to write and earn in web3, but… seems like selling your writing as NFTs is not yet the main income avenue. Hope that changes!

I mean… ppl use social media to leverage their writing and make income. NFT God has got to be the biggest example—he’s the X growth marketing guru. And he talks a lot about writing to grow an audience… but his own income is from newsletter subs, not NFT books.

Some good answers to your questions in this thread—mirror is popular. If I may add… Perhaps the ~real~ question is, “Are any web3 writers earning a living solely by distributing their work as NFTs?” Safe to say most write3 income is from writing for a project, website, or newsletter—not nft sales.

I kinda agree with this… if writing is really hard, I usually need to outline. For me, going slow, or not knowing what to write, is a symptom of being unprepared. Review, research, relive the original inspiration, these methods help me get unblocked.

I think the irl ‘secret networks of influence’ angle is VERY interesting. Maybe if u focus on that, and Japanese food is just one example, you’d have a more universally consumable, quirky, book topic. That might mean researching a lot of historic examples of the phenomenon.

Whoa! 2k a day is a loooot. I assume you did a plenty of outlining/planning before shooting for 2k days? If you’re editing, and need more structure, perhaps you could sit down with the goal to edit/refine one scene a day? Or depending on the your works’ structure, one chapter a day, etc. GL!

First cast, who dis? How is discoverability on Farcaster? Are hashtags cool on here? Or will a #writer get punished for leaving bread crumbs? Asking for myself, and the #GenuineUndead community I’m looking to import!
