Is it possible to use imagesWorkerMiddleware only for specific requests, or to change the aspect ratio or size of images generated by imagesWorkerMiddleware based on conditions (requests)?

yes, you can use per-route middleware

but newer versions of frames.js automatically use the images worker internally

you can adjust the aspect ratio per frame route in the imageOptions of your frame definition return value
