it's really sad to see people's life savings getting washed out by liquidations. i feel sorry for them not because of the monetary losses but the fact that they very clearly have a gambling problem that is potentially ruining their lives

the stories i'm referring are leverage-related at least. i'm not too clued up on how these large crashes happen behind the scenes

is the liquidations mostly people using leverage? 

(I'm laughably conservative even when it comes to basic trading. Leverage is not for me.)

That's true about futures trading. I gave that up and now being destroyed in spot lol

harsh truth. gambling addiction + infinite leverage = recipe for disaster. need better guardrails and education in defi, not just ape buttons
