Serious question: when popular channels make a lot of profit, does this means that many people are losing money? If everyone is trying to be in profit, isn’t that impossible without some people losing money?

This is a very good point though. I think the answer would be found in a dune dashboard showing how many 1500 accounts are in profit vs how many 500 accounts are in profit.

i believe that the Alfafrens system relies on noobs losing money, because all the emphasis from what i see is on getting in profit, not loss…..But loss from some people is what gives profits to popular accounts.

I don’t think it’s noobs. It’s just how the current meta is. When degen is worth a lot more I think this will flip 180. My issue was claiming and using the app too much early on when earnings were capped but spending wasnt. I’m like $6000 down from gas so I’ll probably always be in negative.

hahahahaahhaah but those gas fees, they went to Coinbase not AF channels? This part is not clear bc how could u spend $6K on gas on Base??? Are we sure AF didn’t siphon off some?

Lmao yes I’m sure, AF only covers their costs. This was my own fault for claiming a ton early on when gas was high and not realizing that subs were capped. I think I’m the only person with this issue. The next down was like 50% less.
