yeah i know what it means but everyone has a slightly different answer

Mostly a contrast to degen airdrop's inherent unsustainability.

airdrops are a finite and fixed amount. a money bucket that runs out, eventually.

money earned through subscriptions, sales, etc, requires the same effort (or less, actually) and has no such end.

Still work, but with /significantly/ higher upside.
