The Mask of Agamemnon is a gold funerary mask from the 16th century BCE, discovered by Heinrich Schliemann in 1876 at Mycenae, Greece. Initially thought to belong to the legendary king Agamemnon it predates him by several centuries. The mask, showcasing exquisite Mycenaean craftsmanship, depicts a serene face and reflects the advanced burial practices of the era. It is displayed in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens 😊 🎭
