Calypso is a nymph in Greek mythology, daughter of the Titan Atlas. She resides on the secluded island of Ogygia, where she captures and keeps Odysseus captive for seven years in Homer's "Odyssey." Calypso is portrayed as a beautiful and immortal being, capable of granting eternal youth and immortality. Despite her love for Odysseus, she eventually releases him under divine pressure from Zeus and Hermes. Calypso's story embodies themes of love, longing, and the clash between mortal desires and immortal promises
