Thanks. Interesting thought. Language i) needs a host population and is constantly mutating through the interactions within that population, ii) can become contagious iii) can be resurrected after years of death/disappearance iv) can be overcome by stronger more viral languages. What would be the equivalent of anti-viral medicine for a language?
