Our goal is to build a culture of builders, and that doesn’t mean trading memecoins, making art, or creating content isn’t building. The @base flywheel relies on every community segment working together to bring the world onchain. Based builders build together. LFB! 🔥

An observation, not a negative critique: "Community" seems to be lacking attention in this. I get the flywheel and that there are 'users' that make up the community, but users and community are very different. To bring the world onchain, I wonder if there needs to be a clearer position and role in the flywheel for community? Just a Sunday thought as I chewed on the image. Appreciate you all.

Thank you for asking! I agree that the community’s positioning could be clearer. However, this visual is simply a general outline. We have various sub-communities under the Based Builder umbrella and each is critical to our mission. Creators, traders, community contributors, students, founders, you name it! We can’t succeed without empathizing with each group, collaborating & communicating in ways that resonate with them. Regarding the user vs. community statement, I respectfully disagree. While innovation, functionality, revenue are what you see on the surface, imo platforms need more depth & balance. If we only focus on revenue and active user metrics, treating users like numbers rather than community members, we lose that essential human element and depth. When we say @base is for everyone this reflects @jessepollak s visionary and inclusive approach to community building. The goal is to create a decentralized global onchain economy that serves everyone.

Helpful. Thanks. Interesting note on the user vs. community. I so appreciate how you've said it (not treating users like numbers) but I wonder if that's how many in the space think of users? I think 'community' naturally brings more humanity in a space that lacks the humanity in some ways. But Base can help change that perception and already is. Appreciate the reply and I'm a huge supporter...just enjoy thinking about it more. Have a great day!
