I’m a little bit of a broken record on this on WC, but I’d like to know his sense of urgency and mitigation thoughts on quantum supremacy w/respect to Ethereum, as I think it’s closer than commonly anticipated.

Account abstraction (ERC 4337) gives us a clean path to making users' accounts quantum-proof. For existing accounts, if QC comes suddenly we may have to do a hard fork where you can recover your EOA by ZK-STARK-proving your 12-word seed (that's already quantum-proof and should cover most users).

For the consensus layer, STARK-based alternatives to (i) BLS aggregation, (ii) Verkle trees, (iii) KZG-based DAS are all being actively explored.

Would you be interested in Lattice-based SNARK alternatives? After all, lattice-based cryptosystems are already in the majority finalists of the NIST PQC standard, and is compatible with the FHE system. BTW, what do you think of the progress in recursive zkp recently--I mean the folding schemes(like Nova IVC/PCD)?

For FHE, lattice based makes sense and seems to be the only game in town. For most onchain stuff, ZK-STARKs with hashes probably suffice?

Hi Vitalik, what is your opinion on Socialfi's future? It seems now most of the socialfi projects are just replacing the account with web3 wallets. The platform is still centralized...
