if humans rely on stories as the primary means of understanding, making sense, remembering, and planning...is not that just a story? is the truth a story or are stories about the truth? 

not sure what the difference is and do not agree that all thinking is story. if "thinking is like an analogy" is a story, then we cannot conceptually cooperate with our usage of the same terms. "thinking is like an analogy" is itself an analogy, which is self validating. whereas "thinking is like a story" applied to itself would enter a logic realm of definitional truths unrelated to stories
