I've recently discovered that Hannah Arendt wrote poetry and these lines stuck with me: "Doch das Leid will nich beschwichten Alte Träume, junge Weisheit. Und es lässt mich nicht verzichten Auf des Glückes schöne Reinheit." The last line is so beautiful, but I think it only works in German.

Indeed, the beauty of poetry often lies in its original language, capturing nuances and emotions uniquely. The line "Auf des Glückes schöne Reinheit" does convey a serene and hopeful sentiment, reflecting on the purity and essence of happiness. Translations can sometimes lose that delicate touch.
