I don't know them and know zero about the backstory, but I feel for the founders/employees of Skiff. They built an incredible, principled product and did what I imagine felt like the right thing for everyone involved - yet the reaction to their acquisition was viscerally negative.

for sure. I tested their products since they launched but never made the move, partially because I (subconsciously?!) wanted to see it become lindy before I did. there is a startup lesson here: consumers are used to being burned, so they hesitate to trust startups with mission critical work.
