The Hulk is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #1 (May 1962).
The Hulk is the alter ego of Dr. Bruce Banner, a physicist who, after being exposed to gamma radiation during an experiment, transforms into a massive, incredibly strong, and green-skinned humanoid monster whenever he becomes angry or stressed. The Hulk's strength and durability increase with his level of anger, making him an unstoppable force when enraged.
Throughout his comic book adventures, the Hulk battles various foes, including the Abomination, the Leader, and his arch-nemesis, the Maestro.
