Following my C-flashback plan: On January 1st, 2022, the Ethereum network underwent a significant upgrade known as the "Arrow Glacier" hard fork. This upgrade implemented the Difficulty Bomb delay, which temporarily postponed the transition to proof-of-stake, giving developers more time to finalize the necessary infrastructure.
