When a population is subdued and constantly harassed, don't you think they won't lash out? It's not about saying what Hamas did was right or wrong, but the circumstances and events leading to it and the causal factor needs to be looked at. One can take into account the earlier intifadas by the people themselves in Gaza

They recently discontinued the negative interest rate that has kept the economy in check for decades. And partially increased interest rates by mere 0.5 %. A change in effect is what you see . Inflation has picked up, exports are rad expensive and a lot more moving wheels
