fox-news conservatives love to signal their gun fetish, as if it makes them look dangerous, cool, and competent. it's childish: you can own and use guns without fetishizing them. healthy fear for a powerful tool is respectful, humble. humility isn't a maga trait and that makes them vulnerable.

the notion that people who value freedom are incapable of defending that philosophy is... naive at best. you just don't know i'm armed because i didn't share it on youtube like a dumbass.

two of my most liberal friends live at the gun range. one of them makes his own bullets and worked at the white house under Obama. I’ve shot with them a couple times and they are deadly accurate. I’m only good for birdshot and clay pigeons. Family gets together a few times a year for it on the farm, only time I pull out my shotguns.

I have exactly the same friends. Can't grow up in rural America without some proper gun fun. And they CAN BE great fun as well as tools against tyranny 🫡

it’s a ton of fun when you treat them with respect and understand the responsibility that comes with it. the ostentatious gun fetish nonsense is so lame. Coming from a family of hunters and gun advocates, they never acted this way. but hey gotta collect those NRA checks
