Some tips to get started:

Don’t stokefire until it’s down to 24 hours or less.  This allows you time to build up your village and climb the leaderboard.

Build as many huts as you can in the beginning stages of the game.

Selectively raid your neighbors on occasion, but it’s best not to single out any one neighbor for raiding.  Some of us have long memories. 🐘

Remember: don’t let your fire burn out!  You have to stokefire at least every 2+ days.

I just started as well. Question about $fire. Do we have to buy it to continue playing? I see people spending hundreds of dollars a day worth on top of the leaderboard. Were they given an airdrop or earned it in game? After my first few days of playing I don't feel inclined to try and claw my way up the ladder of what feels like a pay to play game.
