in less than 2 months that 900 number gets chopped in half to 450…what happens if this ratio holds…or increases?

The idea is that all block rewards (900 BTC) enter the market as supply. All else being equal, if this number is chopped in half (to 450 BTC), less BTC will be available as supply which triggers a price increase (basic supply and demand theory)

However, block rewards are not the only source of supply. The other being current BTC holders who like to sell. The more the price of BTC increases, the more BTC holders may look to sell, the more supply may become available. Additional selling of BTC holders may therefore dampen the (possible) price increase of BTC

Please keep in mind that as it is publicly known that the block rewards will be reduced by half, investors may already prepared for this. In other words, although it is likely less supply will be available after the halving, the price of BTC may already reflect this reduction as investors are prepared for this event.
