Rune etchings take 6 blocks to mature, so if you want to create a new rune, youāll need to submit a txn and wait for 6 blocks after it is confirmed. Only then it is actually created.

Spacers in rune names donāt matter: if thereās a rune called āARUNEā, you canāt create a rune called āAā¢RUNEā or āARUā¢NEā Only 13+ charter rune names will be available right after halving.

Minting is optional, in order to distribute a runeās supply through a mint, an etcher can set terms including supply cap and/or end of mint. This mint is free and open to anyone as long as it hasnāt ended. Alternatively, an etcher can premine all the supply to themselves and distribute it however they like.

Cenotaphs are runes that donāt fit the current structure. They are essentially an upgrade mechanism that makes a client not recognize all runes from versions newer than clientās.
