Adolf Dassler (born November 3, 1900) was a German shoe designer and entrepreneur, who founded the Adidas company in 1924 in partnership with his older brother, Rudolf Dassler.
 This company started its activity under the name "Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory".

Adolph had several innovations and inventions in the athletic shoe industry and is known as one of the first marketers to use athletes to promote their product.
