can you explain ? was this photo taken with the aim of using it in a painting ? it looks simple but there's an underlying quality to it that makes if feel surreal .

I took a series of photos of figs because I wanted to paint them. I love that fruit, I find it completely sexual. And this photo is one of the many I took. I don't know what I like about it. I guess it must be the same thing you see 😊

no sexual thoughts for me . enjoy figs but have yet to go out of my way to do so . more happenstance . perhaps need to make more of an effort . trying to eat more fruit lately . cannot put my finger on what it is about it . something solitary about it . a slight melancholy . yet hopeful . there's possibility . most likely a projection of my own state of mind . thank you for provoking them . 100 $degen .

Thank you Ilan x your generosity 🖤 We always project something of ourselves when we appreciate something And eat more fruit 😁 The fig has a very animalistic, very sexual way of eating it.

this triggered a most recent memory of figs . our dearest Agnes Varda eating one picked off a tree during this film : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Gleaners_and_I
