'Disaster for Democrats': Joe Biden's slow response to Trump rally shooting outpaced by scores of global leaders President Joe Biden held a lacklustre press conference two hours after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump after scores of global leaders had already offered their words of support for the former president. Before Mr Biden spoke, former president Barack Obama, Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage, former Australian prime minister Scott Morrison and Senator Bernie Sanders were among the many global leaders and personalities who had already responded to the Trump rally shooting. Mr Biden fronted the cameras in Delaware to address the incident and said he was hoping to speak to his political opponent on the phone.
