Big win for stablecoins today A reminder that Sherrod Brown (voted out) and Elizabeth Warren were the reason a bipartisan bill from the House last year never had a chance to see the Senate floor. Here's a rough overview of the bill: - Federal oversight in most cases - Increased transparency requirements and public disclosures, i.e. are stablecoins backed with real assets - Some compliance stuff Ultimately, will be a boon for fintech / tradfi adoption. Which will normalize using public blockchains for more practical stuff. Coming soon We will be working with developers / projects that want to give users airdrops. We’ll indicate what the developer is hoping to accomplish with the airdrop. Users that 1) opt in 2) do the desired action—use a frame, engage in a channel, etc.—will start to develop reputation as a good user to offer future airdrops to. Users that opt in, receive airdrops and don’t do the desired action will develop a reputation as a user to avoid offering airdrops. Ultimately, developers get to decide who to target (the data is permissionless). But I suspect airdrops on Farcaster will start to reward usage / go forward alignment. First airdrop next week!
