Tafite 20,000 dollars equivalent to 75 million tomans per gram: this precious stone has purple, pink, red and white colors and is much rarer compared to diamonds. Despite this issue, taffeta is not used much to make ornaments and this issue makes it more expensive.

Taaffeite was discovered in 1945 by gemologist Richard Taaffe. The first specimen was initially mistaken for spinel, another gemstone, until Taaffe recognized its unique properties.
