How to do a successful @crowdfund: 0. Be open and honest with your ask. This is a prerequisite and most important hence #0. Be upfront with what you need and why. Provide receipts if possible. This space is rife with scams and we can detect those like a Sixth Sense. If you’re legit, you have nothing to worry about. 1. Cast about it. Constantly.* There certainly is a too much of course, so try and cast within those limits. Milestones like 25%, 50%, 69% etc are good as well as morning/evening status updates. 2. Thank donors but only certain ones. You’d be surprised how many donors wanted to remain low key. Everyone’s different. Ask. 3. Make a walk & talk update about it. This puts a human face to and more importantly, trust in your cause - see #0 4. Use tools like @ampsfun to boost. Don’t blow your whole budget on this (you’re trying to raise money, remember?) but getting a lil boost helps. 5. Go hard on Tuesdays. Warpcast Rewards and Tips mean the network has a little more powder than usual.
