In 2020, 193 developers from 48 countries took our first ever developer survey. The majority of the respondents (62%) believed that the Solidity developer experience had improved over the previous year. In 2021, participation went up by more than 100% compared to 2020, with 435 developers from 73 different countries. More than 60% of respondents wished for Solidity to become more restrictive/explicit (having more checks).
