I understand this is where the volume is currently at but just feel like Base represents so much more and that we've somewhat lost the plot lately.

Is base really more than a meme trading protocol? They seem to have reported the most revenue during the meme trading craze. I’m not challenging you as I agree there are better projects which can be built on Base.
