What is the best bit of advice that you have ever been given? Who gave it to you and how did it impact you?

I remember an old boss of mine told me "the cream always rises to the top". It really stuck with me. The message is that if you work hard to develop your talents then you will eventually rise to the top and be rewarded for your efforts.

I remembered my late father telling me to step away from situation and take some deep breathe and also ask me to express myself in a calm way.

He said,
 "Don’t make decisions when you are angry or ecstatic".

That best decisions are made with a clear conscious mind, not in the throes of any emotion i.e good or bad. Miss his advices
