THURSDAY THINK TANK Do you agree with the idea that if you act well, things will be good, and if you act badly, things will be bad? I'm going to try it a little differently today and not share my own thoughts until later so as not to influence the critical thinking of anyone else. 500 degen for the most thought provoking answer posted in teach. Agree. "Look, that person did badly, but nothing awful happened to him," someone might say. In fact, it did happen; the individual punished himself with "negative" feelings and emotions that tore him apart and took away a great deal of his inner self. Simply recall how you felt after doing something good or helping someone. It feels warm and pleasant. And how did it make you feel when you treated someone rudely or meanly? It is always unpleasant. I do not think anyone ever feels really good after doing something bad. @jenson /tech

I would like to think that this is true however I also think many people doing "bad" things potentially don't know that whet they are doing is bad. If you are not raised to have morals and to know right from wrong then you may not even perceive anything wrong with your actions. A consequence of this is that you would also avoid the negative feelings that come along with it. Usually the negative feeling comes from a belief that our action is in conflict with who we perceive ourself as as a person.
