Fans of "Corinthians" threw a pig's head onto the field during the São Paulo derby against "Palmeiras." This happened midway through the first half when the visitors were preparing to take a corner kick. This has no reference to Luís Figo. The reason is that one of the offensive nicknames for "Palmeiras" is "piglets" (Portuguese: porco). Former "Zenit" player Yuri Alberto, now playing for "Corinthians," ran over to the piece of the animal and kicked it off the field. It can be said that the home fans' stunt worked — after this incident, "Corinthians" scored two unanswered goals and won the derby.
