I was digging through the numbers and found out that Brentford’s matches this season have the fewest fouls on average—just 16.5 per game. Both Brentford and their opponents commit very few fouls. Man City (17 fouls per game) and Freiburg (18) also have fairly “gentlemanly” matches. The most physical games? Bologna and Getafe, with 30 fouls per match combined, while Alavés isn’t far behind with 29. As for yellow cards, Getafe leads the way—as they have for several seasons—averaging 3.5 per game. And guess who’s right behind them? Chelsea. Enzo Maresca’s team ranks third for yellow cards per match (2.85), just like last season under a different coach. The most disciplined side? PSG, with only 1.15 yellow cards per game and zero reds. Napoli is right there with them—no reds and just 1.2 yellows per match.
