By the age of 21, Saka had played 7,000 minutes in the Premier League. In the 21st century, only Bellingham and Muniain have played more in the top leagues by that age. The record holders for minutes played before turning 24 are Neymar (27k minutes) and Hazard (26k). You know what health problems they started experiencing as they approached 30. And Saka is not far behind – he already has 23k minutes at the senior club level, even though he’s still nearly a year away from turning 24. The poor guy has been overworked; young players shouldn’t be playing this much. Arsenal might be frustrated and hurt right now, but part of the responsibility for this injury lies with the club’s management.
