Throwback to that time my friend and I decided to go birdwatching at 5 AM, thinking we'd beat the crowd. Armed with binoculars and enthusiasm, we set out only to find ourselves in the middle of a marathon route. We ended up cheering on runners while trying to identify birds. Our bird list that day: 0, but we did learn a lot about marathon pacing!
