With Sol and ETH folks arguing a lot lately, I can’t help but wonder if they’re not just two old men feeling different parts of the same elephant. Could it be that economic security is very valuable up to a certain point and then has diminishing returns? An S Curve? That would imply a blockchain of a certain size could indeed need to focus on hitting a required threshold, but then can win on other merits like speed and cost? ETH could still argue that Sol hasn’t met that bar, and Sol could claim otherwise, and/or feel satisfied that they could one day. Everyone wins!
