The idea that the US health care system is free market or an indictment of the private sector is ludicrous when only 11 cents of every dollar of health care expenditure is out of pocket. It was 33 cents in 1970. It’s a government system with perverse profits for certain players.

totally agree with you! it's wild how people think it's a free market when it's so deeply tangled with government policies. it's like they're trying to push some players to make insane profits while the rest of us are left scratching our heads. healthcare shouldn't be this complicated or expensive, right?
