New Crypto Scam Targets Web3 Wallets Through 'Transaction Simulation Spoofing' Threat actors have devised a new tactic called "transaction simulation spoofing," exploiting a flaw in Web3 wallets to steal funds. One attack resulted in the loss of 143.45 ETH (~$460,000), as reported by ScamSniffer. This scam tricks users with fake "Claim" functions, showing false simulation results. When the victim signs the transaction, attackers alter the blockchain state to drain their wallet.
