Good morning β˜€οΈ On 18 May 1974, India conducted its first nuclear bomb test, codenamed as β€œOperation Happy Krishna”. It was an underground shaft test of 12 kilotons of TNT equivalent. India became the sixth nation to explode an atomic bomb, marking a significant development in nuclear technology.

gm fren, it was great decision at that time, In December 1971, during the Indo-Pakistani War, the U.S. government sent a carrier battle group led by the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) into the Bay of Bengal in an attempt to intimidate India.

Also Pakistan did not viewed this as a peaceful test and paused diplomatic talks. And the funny thing is U.S also gave them uranium at 1974
