Good morning βοΈ On 18 May 1974, India conducted its first nuclear bomb test, codenamed as βOperation Happy Krishnaβ. It was an underground shaft test of 12 kilotons of TNT equivalent. India became the sixth nation to explode an atomic bomb, marking a significant development in nuclear technology.

gm fren, it was great decision at that time, In December 1971, during the Indo-Pakistani War, the U.S. government sent a carrier battle group led by the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) into the Bay of Bengal in an attempt to intimidate India.

Also Pakistan did not viewed this as a peaceful test and paused diplomatic talks. And the funny thing is U.S also gave them uranium at 1974
