Thanks everyone for following! I have an issue. I bought the @franklinisbored Farcaster ID (FID) from @zuccschini and I thought I would just be able to change my name from franklinisboring to franklinisbored. But now I own both profiles and can’t update one profile’s name to another. See replies for more.

Ya, like 3070 said, just use your ENS. Go to "Settings" and link ur ENS first, then you can select it instead of your current username. FIDs (your account) are not usernames, FIDs are decentralized accounts, and username belong to warpcast app. Using an ENS is the best.

Your handle stays, unless warpcast wants to take it away from you. It will always be in the Username list for the FID it's attached too. Usernames and FIDs are linked, ENS are not (meaning ENS can be migrated with you to new FIDs).

so wait - can i link my ENS currently? that wallet is linked to my FC account so is this something I can change after the fact in my settings? and if so, would i lose the @gino handle?
