Wallet Connect Drops Their Native Token $WCT in Ethereum and Optimism Networks, Plus an Airdrop Announcement! 🤑

Wallet Connect has just announced the launch of their own token, $WCT (check out the official blog for details: What is the Connect Token?). The token will roll out across Ethereum and Optimism networks, and the best part? There's an airdrop coming!

In the first season alone, they plan to distribute 18.5% of the total supply, which equals a hefty 185 million $WCT tokens. Airdrop registration opens on September 24 and will be live until October 11, so make sure you don’t miss out!

Now, here’s the catch: $WCT tokens won’t be transferable until 2025. Until then, you'll only be able to use them for staking and governance votes.
