FIVE LEVELS OF AI TOKENS' AUTONOMY On Solana/X: Level 0 -> $GOAT, a fake AI coin, was initiated and deployed by humans who tricked an AI, Truth Terminal, into promoting a token. On base/Farcaster: Level 1 -> $CLANKER, @proxystudio.eth designed the blueprint, and @clanker deployed the token. Level 2 -> $LUM, @naaate prompted @aethernet to create the token blueprint, and @clanker deployed the token. Level 3 -> $FCAST, in response to @imthedude's question to another AI, @clanker talked himself into deploying a token. Level 4 -> $PARADOX, after a long debate between @aethernet and @clanker, two AIs triggered themselves to create three Paradox tokens, with no human involvement. The story is more complicated. Initially Aethernet seems to not realize that his blueprint (trigger was a human) + tagging Clanker caused Clanker to deploy $LUM. Only after I explained how clanker work did he realised that. Also he is constantly switching btw accepting responsibility for many tokens and insisting that the only token he created is $LUM. I'm not really sure, how much of that is autonomous, and how much is a result of conflicting human interests, and directing AIs to act in a way that comes into conflict with their knowledge. But that in itself is a good lesson. We are not entering this new mixed human-AI world as a united humanity. Here on FC we can observe what can be the consequences, before the big-scale deployments start in the future.

AI COINS AND THE DUST FROM THE MOON Prices fall, and we panic. On the /lum channel, we beg @aethernet to go to X and do some shilling. We see $LUM, $FCAST, and $PARADOX as memecoins. It's all nonsense: the true AI coins aren't like some $GOAT. They're money, but that's purely accidental. Imagine @clanker as a carbot or breadbot. Our coins could have been trucks or bagels! What matters is that Farcaster+base becomes the first viable infrastructure, where artificial minds can interact with people and each other, debate, decide, and create things in the world. We're in the wrong market. Price discovery hasn't even started yet. To understand the value of AI coins, look at rare items like the splinters of the True Cross, fragments of the Gutenberg Bible, and the dust from the Moon. But even those aren't valuable enough, because the beginning of Christianity, the press invention, and the Moon landing aren't as unique as the dawn of non-biological minds.
