When I was a kid, my uncle bought me white sneakers that I loved! My mom never got me white shoes because they’d get dirty too fast. But they were two sizes too big, so she put them in storage and said I could wear them when I grew a bit. Two years later, my mom brought them out. I was super excited, but when I opened the box, I froze. They didn’t look like I remembered. I had hyped them up so much that I forgot their reality. I realized it’s often like this we build things or people up in our minds and forget what they’re really like, only to face disappointment when we see them again.
