🧵 For the blokes living under a rock, io.net is a service where you can rent GPU power to train AI models. Their token goes live April 28th, and is airdropped to early supports of the project, namely people who have supplied GPU compute or have completed galxe quests.

If you have not already supplied GPU compute, it may be worthwhile to set yours up soon, so you can at least receive some allocation of the airdrop. If you do not have a suitable GPU, I’d recommend at a minimum completing the Galxe quests.

There has been many threads discussion the valuation or io.net at launch, with valuations anywhere from $1.0B - 50.0B. See below for valuation work done by mintventures.

https://developers.io.net/docs/io-coin-1#io-tokenomics From tokenenomics above, you can see at $5.0B val, with 500mm tokens issues at launch, price per token is $10

Now you can do this yourself, but essentially, do the 500mm tokens * 50% to community / #of GPUs on io.net * GPU multiplier outlined (rewards are based on quality of GPU provided) = number of tokens received.

Obviously these are rough calcs, and I’m doing this from my phone, but essentially it’s a lot if you have supplied GPU compute. Too lazy to completely round off my ideas but I have an excel that I could post a photo of that explains this much better
