Elon basically admitted that he doesn’t have enough motivation to make Tesla a leader in AI, which we’ve always thought it was. The idea of “Tesla is an AI company” will most likely never come to fruition, as Elon would rather grow his own businesses, like xAI, which he fully controls. Remember the main reason Tesla’s forward P/E is >60 is because “Tesla is an AI company”? The market probably doesn’t like this uncertainty, and Elon sounds unhappy. Ouch.
