preliminary and evolving thoughts on channel changes

pros

- better mod tools that match standard community management needs (hiding, banning, etc)

- ability to send pinned announcements to channel followers/members (tho may get spammy if all channels use it all the time 😅)

- reaching new people who are curious about my channels, overall fc activity increase

cons

- wish there was a one-click mass invite of channel followers to members (tools help but don’t seem to be getting to everyone)

- actually *less* wanting to cast in channels for now bc of concerns about friends not being able to reply and be seen if they don’t happen to be members of the same channel

- concerned that folks are losing visibility of their content if they didn’t re-enroll in channel membership. now I would advise all creators including myself to post enduring content on their own website and syndicate to here and other social platforms

- home feed has gotten “weird” for now and I feel isolated from my friends

Tbh it’s more of the cons for me still trying to navigate my way, it has made me less interactive and active on here
