Better late than never. Our vegetable garden is finally producing. We picked 12.5 pounds of tomatoes today!

Fresh tomatoes, jalapeños, and cilantro from the garden add a real taste of summer to homemade black bean soup.

A lot of the Romas are going into sauce along with Italian basil from the garden.  We've been making a bunch of corn and zucchini fritters lately.  And last night we used our cucumbers, Thai peppers, and Thai basil to make some amazing fried rice.
